Anton M.C. van der Geld volgde het gymnasium en behaalde licentiaat
Psychologie (Universiteit Leuven), doctoraal Pedagogische Wetenschap

Utrecht), postdoctorale licenties in Psychotherapie en Klinische Psychologie
te Utrecht, Leuven en Tilburg.
Hij was leider van een medisch opvoedkundig bureau en was mede-
oprichter van een medisch-pedagogisch kinderdagverblijf. Hij doceerde
aan het Psychologisch Instituut van de Katholieke Leergangen Tilburg
en aan de Universiteit Leuven.
In 1988 was hij de hoofdoprichter van de Stichting BeNeLux-Universitair
Centrum / Foundation BeNeLux-University voor wetenschap, cultuur en
humaniteit in Europa, gevestigd in Antwerpen, Eindhoven en Luxemburg.
Hij vervult daar de functies van president en hoogleraar.
Deze stichting verzorgt ‘postgraduate’ opleidingen en zij wil bijdragen aan
de verhoging van de kwaliteit van de samenleving en het uitdragen van
de menselijke waarden in Europa.

van Leopold II), in Luxemburg (Commandeur in de Orde van de Eikenkroon),
in Vaticaanstaat (Commandeur in de Orde van Gregorius de Grote). Hij
ontving in 2006 als eerste de Majoor Bosshardt Prijs voor-een-betere-
samenleving.
Privé
Sinds 1998 weduwnaar van Cily Nouwens (zie ‘Stg. Cily van der Geld-
Nouwens Fonds’ ). Drie kinderen: Pieter, Lucienne, Christian.

The foundation provides ‘postgraduate’ courses and is committed to
making a contribution to the enhancement of the quality of society and
to the propagation of human values in Europe.

Great). In 2006 he was the first to receive the ‘Major Bosshardt Prize
